Aims

​

To Educate pupils in the use of maps, the aspects of Physical and Human Geography, the challenges facing the world today and the career opportunities available within the realm of Geography.

KS3

​

In year 8 we study Map Skills, weather and Climate and changing urban environments.

​

In Year 9 we study River and Coastal environments, Renewable Energy and Population.

​

In Year 10 we Study ecosystems and world hazards including Global warming, Soil Erosion and Desertification,

​

Earthquakes and Volcanoes and World Development issues, for example Fair Trade.

KS4

​

We follow the CCEA GCSE Syllabus:

​

Paper 1 - Understanding our Natural World (40%).

Paper 2 - Living in our World (40%).

Paper 3 - Fieldwork (20%).
