It was a great delight to have welcomed so many parents and families to our school today as we celebrated the Year 8 Welcome Mass. Accompanied by our wonderful school choir and musicians, school chaplain Fr Alphonsus Chukwunenye (MSP) led the proceedings and paid particular emphasis on the vital role of the pupils' families in helping shape and nurture their unique character as young men in society.
Special praise must be given to Head of Music Mrs Byrne and String Coordinator Mrs Grant for the outstanding work involved in preparing the choir and musicians to have preferred at such a remarkable standard.
A special thanks to Head of Religion Mr Brendan Fearon who organised the beautiful ceremony and made it such a special occasion for all.
We look forward to further religious celebrations with the other year groups later in the year.
